Mentoring Women in Ministry was birthed out of a vision to provide a safe place for women in ministry to get to know each other. It is our desire to support and encourage one another in ministry. We are excited to share that we are expanding to reach the whole pastoral family.

Our vision, starting out, is to provide a place of respite for pastoral families and women in ministry. The pastoral families coming will be required to follow some quidelines, helping to recapture and renew their dreams and vision for ministry; as well as simply spend time together as a family restoring their spirit and relationships. In order to do this we need to network and partner with those who feel this is a vital need in ministry today. If you are interested in helping support this ministry please click on the "make a donation" button to the left to make a donation through Paypal. In the description type "housing." Barna Group pastors and their families struggle with personal relationships. "Being
a
spiritual leader of other people creates unusual dynamics and expectations. One of those areas is often a lost sense of connection with others: a majority of pastors (61%) admit that they 'have few close friends.' Also, one-sixth of today's pastors feel under-appreciated. Pastors also deal with family problems: one in every five contends that they are currently 'dealing with a very difficult family situation.'"

We have a program of support called Priscilla's Women Weekend Retreats designed to be a time of relaxing, refreshing and encouraging for the woman in ministry. For more information click here.

Our April Weekend Retreat was awesome, here is what women are saying...

"Thanks to Cheryl and her love for women in ministry, she opened up her home to me and other women for a retreat at her home in January. My goal for joining this weekend retreat was to seek the Lord for a time of renewal and refreshing. As a woman in ministry there are always challenges to overcome and at the time we were facing a very difficult time at our church. I believe the Lord wanted me to connect with Cheryl and I was so glad I did. I ended up purchasing a great resource from her church that I was able to take home and share with my husband. I believe it gave great inspiration and encouragement to the situation we were facing.

Cheryl shared intimately about her personal struggles as a pastor’s wife and woman in ministry. To be able to open up and be real with other pastor’s wives in a small setting was an answer to prayer. It helped to share and spend this time together. What made it even more special was the lovely setting right on the beach where Cheryl’s lovely home is. I appreciated so much her hospitality and warmth and am excited to see how the Lord will continue to bless her and the women she is reaching out to. We really need each other and I believe there are so many ways the Lord wants to bless and encourage women in ministry and this is truly one of those ways. Thank you Cheryl!" DB

"You were instrumental in my life this weekend. A thousand thanks. Continue to do what God has called you to do. My generation needs you." KR

"This is so important. Women do not know what they are missing."

"I attended the; " Mentoring Women in Ministry Training Retreat" lead by, Cheryl Turnbull. There were so many wonderful highlights. We enjoyed an intimate setting and a beautiful view of the ocean from her bay window. Cheryl is a gifted teacher and her transparency and willingness to share her own personal crisis, while serving in leadership, helped us to bond even closer. I was challenged, refreshed and a fire was ignited to  go further in the vision God has given me. I left equipped with the tools I needed. I recommend this retreat for women in leadership; especially pastor's wives. You will leave encouraged and better for attending."
